Tulsa Weekend for Dance AND Soccer

Jason was able to pick the soccer tournament weekend in the Spring and we figured out that there was an option for us to overlap soccer and a dance competition.  We got to share a hotel room, I was able to watch all of Camryn's soccer games and also watch all of the girl's dances.  Jason had to coach both the first and second team, but he was still able to watch each of the girls dance on Sunday.  It was a jam packed but super fun weekend.

Camryn's team played exceptionally well against some top ranked Oklahoma teams.  Camryn played great and Jason and I were really proud of her quickness and skill that she showed over the weekend.

Baby Bunnies

Jason was mowing on Saturday and noticed a few baby bunnies hopping out of the grass.  He told Addie about it and she went and found two of them.  Somehow that turned into a discussion that we had to save the bunnies and raise them.  We reluctantly bought bunny food and ordered a bunny cage.

The next morning after church, the girls went looking again in the field and found ANOTHER bunny.  That made three bunnies on Sunday morning.  We were getting a little over our head, but we sure did love playing with those little bunnies.

Then, on Monday morning we woke up and couldn't find one of the three bunnies.  We still don't know how it got out of the rubbermaid container, but we couldn't find it for 36 hours but knew it was in the house because we found bunny poop.  

Then on Tuesday, we noticed that one of the bunnies had waxy black spots/tumors on it's face.  We did a little research and came to the conclusion that one of the bunnies probably had the papillomavirus.  Basically it's harmless for bunnies in the wild but it's not good for domestic bunnies as it is highly contagious.  So we talked to the girls about it and decided it was best to release the bunnies into the wild.  However, we still had one bunny to find.  Luckily that evening we saw one running across the room and then hiding in the bathroom behind the toilet.  The girls were able to get it out and Taylor went down to the creek and released them that night.  

We talked about potentially getting a domesticated bunny as a replacement but in the coming weeks haven't brought it up, so we may just let that idea fizzle out.....
