Jitterbug Performance

Taylor and Addison had their first Jitterbug performance today.  They go to a Jitterbug dance class every Thursday from 11-11:40am and had 4 dances to show us in their performance.  This was nothing like the recitals that we used to do with the Dance Studio, but that was also a little refreshing.  There wasn't as much pressure for the kids, we only had to rent the costumes which made it significantly cheaper, and the girls still had a blast!

Taylor was spot on when doing the dances!  She really knew the moves and smiled the whole time!  She took it pretty seriously.  Addie did really well also but was a lot more distracted.  She'd do a move, then would stare out into the crowd or at her neighbor.  She definitely wasn't as into it as Taylor, but she did have fun!

The Kung Fu Fighting performance was the most entertaining because the kids would SCREAM at the HUH part.  The little boy behind the girls was yelling so loudly so it made them goof around too.

Camryn's 12 Month Check Up

Camryn had her 12 month check up earlier this week and I was so pleased to see that she has GAINED weight!  She has moved up from the 11th to the 29th percentile!  Whoo hoo!  Not like there was anything for us to be concerned about, but we were really just hoping that she was going to thicken up a little since starting real food and vitamin D milk.

Dr. Hannon said that she looked great!  Here were her stats:

Stats from January 20, 2014:
Weight:  18lbs 11oz (29th percentile)
Height:  29.25 inches (45th percentile)
Head:  46cm (76th percentile)

Camryn's 1st Birthday!

After my mom got baptized at church on Sunday, we had a small lunch at the house with our friends that had gone with us to church that morning.  It wasn't an "over the top" birthday celebration but we did have a good lunch, awesome cake, and a smash cake setting for our birthday girl!

Nanny gets Baptized!

After the rough last year my mom has had, she decided several months ago that she wanted to publicly share her faith with others and be baptized.  Her and Rod have started going to a new church in Euless and aren't yet really connected, so she asked to see if she could be baptized in our church in Arkansas since they attend our church with us about every month or so.

Mom talked with Abel several times and they set up for her to be baptized at Fellowship on January 5.  We had several friends that came to the church service to watch the baptism and support my mom, it was a very special morning.

Camryn is 12 months!

Camryn is now 1 years old, how is this even possible??!!!??  Here is what she did over the last month when she was 11 months old:

• Camryn started walking in her 11th month (Taylor was 13 months and Addie was 12 months when they started walking)
• She loves baby dolls and will pick them up to cuddle with them
• She can give hugs and open mouth kisses
• She will wave to random people in a store
• Camryn said her first word "dada" and then "hi" early in her 11th month.  Then at the end of the month, I heard a few "mamas" 
• Is very cuddly, more than any of the other girls were
• Camryn is definitely a mama's girl right now.  If I walk into a room where she is and don't go and pick her up, she will start crying.  If I'm around, she wants to be with me.
• Camryn nursed this whole last month about 4 times a day.  I was concerned that I didn't have a ton of milk so we continued to give her Vitamin D milk as well.
• She takes about an 1.5 hour nap in the morning (around 9am), then will take another 2-3 hour nap around 1pm when the big girls take their nap
• She's shown a lot more personality this month!  She will NOT be bullied by her big sisters.  If they ever take anything from her, she will scream at the top of her lungs to get it back.  
• Camryn can do the sign for "all done" and "more" but doesn't do it a lot
• She's still very gentle with others, loving and super sweet!
