General Mills Halloween Party

General Mills hosted their annual Trick or Treat party outside this year.  The weather was so nice, the girls didn't even need jackets!  The theme was a trunk or treat, and we were impressed by the participation of our employees.  The girls definitely had a fun time!

All the trunks lined up behind the office

Mary Poppins was a big hit with Taylor!

The Cat & the Hat even had a trunk (love Chaney & Lauren)

After we got home from Chuck E. Cheese on Sunday, Jason had Taylor's bike all set up to surprise her for her birthday!  I had been so busy planning Taylor's birthday party this week, Jason handled our first bike purchase all by himself and he did an awesome job!  He even picked out a bike for Taylor that featured her favorite colors - pink and purple!

Since it was pretty late and the weather was pretty cold outside, the bike was presented in the living room.  When Taylor walked in and saw the bike, she was very excited!  She immediately got on and started riding it around the house!

Addie wasn't very excited that she didn't get a bike

Whoo hoo!

We had to pull out Addie's tricycle to calm her down

Nanny & Meme visit!

Nanny and Meme came up for the weekend to celebrate Taylor's 4th birthday.  Taylor had been asking Nanny what Princess she was going to be for her birthday party, so when Nanny arrived at the house, she surprised Taylor by being dressed up as Snow White.

It was actually Meme's birthday on Friday when they arrived in town, so the girls all took Meme to eat at her 3rd favorite restaurant - the Cracker Barrel (only slightly behind Lubys & The Golden Corral)!  That evening, my Mom and Meme were a HUGE help to me setting up for Taylor's princess birthday party (pictures to come)!  And a visit wouldn't be the same if Nanny didn't take the girls to Chuck E. Cheese, so that is where we ventured to on Sunday.

Meme ran a few errands with me, and I had to capture a picture of her in front of the very 1st Supercenter!  If I had to pick the #1 favorite place for Meme, it would be Walmart!  So, it was just too priceless for us to be here and not capture the moment!  I also promised her a trip to the 5&10 on her next visit!

Taylor's Preschool Birthday Party

All dressed up for her preschool birthday party

On Taylor's "actual" birthday, her preschool is doing a big Halloween party, so they made today her official Tiny Tots birthday.  This was absolutely fine with Taylor because it just made her birthday celebration start even earlier, and she has been very excited.  She's been talking about her party at school for a while, so it was very easy to get her moving this morning to get ready for school!

A picture with her sister!

Taylor's favorite thing right now is princesses.  She is either dressing up like a princess or watching a princess movie, she really can't get enough.  So, we went with a princess theme at her preschool party.

For the birthday girl, Ms. Misty makes a very special crown and brings in cupcakes for everyone to enjoy.

Taylor also got to place the candles in her cupcake

Taylor put together all of the birthday favor bags and was thrilled to be able to give them out to her class.

We are truly blessed with a wonderful preschool teacher.  When anyone hears who we have, they rant and rave about how incredible Ms. Misty is and how prepared their kids were for kindergarden because of her.  She seems pretty great to us as well!

Taylor really enjoyed celebrating her birthday today!  She asked to wear the cute birthday dress from Nanny again tomorrow as well as the crown that Ms. Misty made her!  Little does she realize that we have a few more days of celebrating this little girl turning 4 years old!!!!

Farmland Adventures

This past Friday we took the girls to Farmland Adventures in Springdale.  We went to the Pea Ridge pumpkin patch last year, but heard really great things about this one, so we decided to check it out.  Farmland Adventures had pony rides, a kids corner with a corn/sand box, a corn maze, petting zoo, pumpkin patch, and the big attraction - pig races!!!  We participated in almost everything except the corn maze and had a great time with the girls!

The girls absolutely LOVED riding the ponies!

We love Arkansas as much as the next person, but the pig races were hilarious! We REALLY felt like we were in Arkansas when we watched these local farm kids run a pig race.  It was hilarious but super entertaining!

We then headed over to the petting zoo and were so proud of the girls!  They let all of the goats eat right out of their hands and didn't even freak out!  Luckily Mommy did NOT have to set an example for them.

We saw our first "Zonkey" which is a mix of a Zebra and a Donkey

And even got to pet some baby pigs!!!

As it started to get dark, we picked out our pumpkins, ran through the hay tunnel, and then played a little in the corn/sand box!

We finished our fun evening by enjoying a country dinner at the Wagon Wheel Cafe!
