Shadow Valley Magazine

In December, someone took a picture of our decorated house and posted it on the Facebook neighborhood page.  The person was so impressed with Jason's Christmas decorations and that he did them all by himself.  As a result of that, we were asked to be in the Shadow Valley neighborhood magazine as the featured "meet your neighbors" article.  Jason did not want to do it, but I thought that it would be fun (and we got a free photography session too).

Here's some pictures of the magazine:

Here's the article:

Here are the pictures they took (they didn't turn out that great):

Aspen Girls Trip

I went on a girls trip to Aspen with 5 of my super close friends.  One of the girls has a "timeshare sort of thing" at the Ritz Carlton so we were all super excited to get a free stay in Aspen, and thrilled to stay at a super awesome hotel.
Sarah and I were on the first flight on Saturday and we were pretty excited

Kristi, Kate & Erin arrived a few hours later, and Linz arrived on Sunday

The Ritz had some type of treat for their guests in the lobby everyday.  Candy bar, happy hour, meat and cheese bar, ice cream bar, etc.  It was super cool!

We decided to go big Saturday night and headed out to the Little Nell.
Ready to dance the night away

We danced our hearts out Saturday night

Dancing with girlfriends is the most fun ever!

We were back at the hotel by 11pm Saturday, and was up and ready to head out skiing on Sunday.

We conquered a few moguls and double blacks on day one that I was not thrilled about

The whole group arrived and we had a fun night out at Matsuhisa, then had great bonding in the hot tub

Big group ski day on Monday, Kate was the only one missing (she didn't ski)

About a month before our trip, we made reservations for lunch at Cloud Nine.  This place is know for their champagne party at 2pm and we were looking forward to experiencing the fun!
We skied to Cloud Nine

We stripped off the top ski layers to prevent them from getting wet

We had a great lunch

The restaurant when the music was still tame

The music got louder, so we stood on our chairs and had fun dancing and people watching

People buy champagne bottles just to spray them, it's very entertaining to watch

After Cloud Nine, we all skied down the mountain and four of us went back to The Little Nell in our ski gear to do a little dancing!
We may not look classy but sure had a great time!

On our way to the hot tub

For the 3rd day of skiing, it was only the twins and myself.  We decided to try out a different mountain and actually skied Aspen mountain (aka Ajax).  It snowed a ton that day and the powder was amazing for skiing!  It was a great ski day!
One of the best things about the trip was the quality time we all had together.  There were no interruptions, no rushing to get home, no kids!  We laughed a lot, had some really deep spiritual conversations, and just really enjoyed each other.  It was so special and hard to describe.  I definitely left the trip feeling so full in my heart!!!   Feeling so Lucky to be blessed with these amazing friendships!
