Camryn Starts Eating Real Food!

We finally started Camryn on Rice Cereal this past weekend.  It had been on my list to do for weeks, but we just got around to do it.  I'd like to say that Rice Cereal was her first "official" food but for accuracy sake, I have to admit we had given her a few bites of Jason's homemade ice cream before, so that was technically her first real food.  Ha!

Camryn was obviously ready to start eating food because she did so great with it.  She didn't even push it out with her tongue, and got the whole thing down pretty well!

She got excited in between bites

I had to multitask with taking videos & pictures

Crazy happy!

Such a sweetie!

Backyard Fun

Here are some fun pictures of the girls playing in the pool together in our backyard for the first time this summer:

Yearly Interview with Addison - 3 years old

A few years ago I saw this thing on Pinterest where parents would interview their kids every year around their birthday.  We started it two years ago on Taylor's 3rd birthday, so it was time this year to do it with Addie!  Here are the questions and answers (taken directly from Addie):

  • What is your name?

  • "Addie"

  • How old are you?

  • "Umm, three"

  • What is your favorite color?

  • "Orange" (I love that she picks this color because it is Jason's favorite color)

  • Who is your best friend?

  • "Taylor"

  • What is your favorite animal?

  • "A Unicorn" (Didn't even know that she knew what a Unicorn was)

  • What do you want to be when you grow up?

  • "a Addie"

  • What is your favorite movie?

  • "Lilo and Stitch""

  • What is your favorite book?

  • "Piggies" (Assuming that is the story of the 3 little pigs)

  • What makes you happy?

  • "Daddy"

  • What makes you sad?

  • "When I do something bad"

  • What is your most favorite food to eat?

  • "Pancakes and peanut butter sandwiches"

  • What is your favorite song to sing?

  • "Little piggies on the mountain" (I have NO idea what this is)

  • What game do you like to play?

  • "Hungry Hippos" (She just got this game for her birthday)

  • What do you like to take to bed with you at night?

  • "My baby" (She is referring to Taylor's baby that my mom gave her.  They have 100+ babies but they fight over that specific one ALL THE TIME)

  • What do you love most about Taylor?

  • "I love her"

  • What do you love most about Camryn?

  • "I love her too"

  • Addie is a sweet little girl that listens "fairly" well.  Out of all the girls, she is our trouble maker.  She's willing to push the limits to see how far she can go, but she's so dang cute while she does it!  She listens and obeys very well and hardly ever talks back to us.  She loves Taylor so much and pretty much copies everything that she does or says.  She loves to play babies, read books, and really only has 1-2 movies that can keep her full attention (Lilo and Stitch and Annie).  Addie is also sensitive like Taylor but probably a little tougher and not as dramatic.  She's a cuddler and is definitely a Daddy's girl right now! She'll randomly try to get your attention saying "mom, mom, mom" and then she'll turn to you and say "I love you."  That girl has our hearts!

    9 Year Anniversary

For our 9 year anniversary, Jason and I took the day off work and went to White Water in Branson.  We loved the idea of being at a water park without kids and doing something fun on our anniversary!

This was the only ride that I would NOT do

    Jason loved it

And had the scratches on his back to prove it

Although it didn't compare to the water parks that either of us grew up with in ATL or LA, we still had a great time!  We ended our anniversary with a good ol' fashioned country dinner at Monte Chicken!

    Bye Bye Cast

It's been a little over 6 weeks since Addie broke her arm, and she got her cast taken off today!  It was a very long appointment, but the doctor said that her arm had healed nicely and we shouldn't have any problems.  He removed the two pins (which was very painful for our sweet little girl), but she did really well!  Addie is supposed to take it easy over the next 3 weeks but she's allowed to get in the water!  Yah!  The Epps family is now ready for the summer!

Last picture with her pink cast

She was happy to have that thing off!

These are the HUGE pins that were removed from her arm!

Tonight was tough on Addie.  Her arm was real sore and she carried it around the entire evening.  Hopefully it will get stronger here in the next few days.

    Hunt Swim Party

The annual Hunt swim party was held this past Sunday and it was a blast like always!  There were 3 huge water slides and Dean even planned some fun water games.

First time to play in the water this summer

It's hard to have a cast in the summer, unless your dad is a mad man and wraps it in yellow duct tape

Taylor did awesome on the slides this year and had so much fun!

    Addison's 3rd Birthday

On Addie's 3rd birthday, she started the day with breakfast with her Daddy.  This was Addie's first birthday breakfast with Daddy, and she was so excited!  That evening, when we were telling her about going to Fast Lanes and getting Ice Cream, she said she just wanted to go with Daddy.  Umph!  Too bad kiddo, Mommy's going too!

    On her way to breakfast

That Saturday, we had her birthday party at Little Giggles.  It's a new indoor play place that just opened in Bentonville.  We had originally scheduled her party at the Little Gym, but since she broke her arm, the gym and any water type party wasn't an option, so I found this place instead.  This was our first time at Little Giggles and it ended up being a great choice for a party!

Before everyone arrived at the party, we took some pictures of the family.  We were so excited that both Nanny & Nana got to come in for the birthday party fun!
