Girl's Ski Trip to Aspen

I got invited again this year to go skiing in Aspen with Sarah and Erin, and stay for free at Erin's Ritz partnership deal.  There was a big snowstorm coming in Tuesday night and we had a 6am flight scheduled Wednesday morning, so I got our flights changed to get us out of Bentonville since everything shuts down in the snow.  We flew to Denver Tuesday night, then flew to Aspen Wednesday morning.

Hoping we make the first flight

Getting nervous when we saw them de-icing the plane

First flight down

Margaritas to celebrate our Denver arrival

We ran into the Lefler clan (ex Erin) headed home

Headed to the hotel

First trip was to the hot tub

Headed to dinner at Cashe Cashe on the first night:

First day on the slopes was an awesome bluebird day:

Somehow I got convinced to hike up the Highlands Bowl and ski down double blacks.  It was a 782 foot hike and topped out at 12k feet.  It was sunny but still 17 degrees.  The hike was hard but doable, skiing down double blacks was super hard for me.  Was thankful when it was over.
steep hike

And we had to carry our skis and poles

Finally made it to the top after the 1.2 hour hike

Ready to start the double blacks down

Very steep with lots of powder

After almost dying on the Highlands Bowl, we headed for an afternoon of fun at Cloud Nine.  You eat lunch for an hour, then the next 30 minutes is filled with loud music, people standing on chairs, and champagne spraying everywhere.  We got placed in the middle of the restaurant and we got soaked with champagne, it was so much fun!
These four mamas let loose!

Low key dinner after cleaning up from Cloud Nine:
Very cold last day of skiing:
last lunch on the mountain

For our last night, we headed to the hot tub, then went to a private launch party at Kemo Sabe.  The guy that was launching a ski suit was friends with TJ:
Then we had dinner and hung out at the Blue Room at the St. Regis:
Massage before heading to the airport

Disaster at the airport, 4 hour delay that finally led to our flight cancelling

Going through the tunnel on our 4 hour drive to Denver

It was a little rough getting home a day late, but we made it and it was worth all the trouble for a super fun girls trip!
